IFHP Urban Planning and Design Summer School //
10–22 August 2015!

Dear colleagues, partners and prospective students,

We are pleased to announce that the traditional and loved Summer School of Urban Planning and Design continues in 2015. The event is now co-organised by Aalto University and Tampere University of Technology. Its format is slightly polished, but the key elements stay the same: high-quality lectures, full-day Helsinki excursion, hands-on collaboration with planners and urbanists in two Finnish cities, and a concluding event to share experiences. From 2015, the Summer School grants students for 5 ECTS. Tampere will take care of bi-annual publication of Summer School's best results in its DATUTOP scientific publication series. The first publication will be produced after the 2016 edition of the Summer School.

As earlier, the course is addressed to students at all levels of studies, and young professionals. We are looking forward to receiving applications from architects, urban planners, sociologists, geographers and others involved in spatial planning

On this site you will find information about this year's theme, workshop cities and application procedure. We are looking towards an excellent Summer School in August 2015.

Warmly welcome!
